A trip from one city to another can easily double or triple, you may get stuck depending on your papers, the traffic or just the mood of the border guard.
Palestime is a dysfunctional hourglass. One time is set and fast, the other is random and slow. It stands for the stolen time lost in the daily routine of traveling between cities, hampered by checkpoints, settlements and administrative chaos.

“I live in Hebron and was in Ramallah. It was a rainy friday and I wanted to go back home. The traffic was horrible. On my way, the road appeared to be closed, nothing moved. After six hours of standing still in my car I had to call a friend to spend the night at his place. The day after I left early and at 1pm I finally arrived home.
In that time I could have made makloubeh, invited my family and friends and eaten it together.”
